important update from Pastor Brandon
Hello Church Family,
I want to reach out and update you on some of the changes taking place here at VISTA Church after the recent announcements from our Federal and state governments.
Personally, I pray the Lord is strengthening you and encouraging you in these very difficult and trying times. The ministry team here is praying for you and we appreciate your prayers for us! God is hearing and answering them!
Psalm 91:1–2 (NLT) “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.”
This last weekend we held our first ever ALL ONLINE weekend service. If you were unable to join us, here is a link to the archive:HAZARD INSURANCE-PSALM 91
The service was glorious and I was encouraged by all the interaction we experienced from you. We had 391 viewers on our church website and we’ve had close to 800 views on our church Facebook page of this online service. It was so cool. I know it’s different than normal and we are all very eager to get back to normal, but our love for our neighbor, our desire to be flexible and our willingness to worship Jesus wherever we are is well pleasing to Him!
Here is some new information as of Wednesday 3/18/2020:
FOR THE NEXT FOUR WEEKS:
1. Our pastor is available to pray with and talk about how you are feeling during this difficult time. (303) 358-6387
2. We will continue to hold an ONLINE ONLY WEEKEND service: WATCH ONLINE
3. Our Vista Home Groups, men's ministry and women's ministry will be on hold until group gatherings are safe.
4. You can GIVE ONLINE on our church website and/or you can mail in your checks to:
P.O. Box 746056
Arvada, Colorado 80006
While we are having to make these temporary changes, as we remain open to the Holy Spirit, He will lead us in how He wants to use us in these trying times. This is our investment to be a help and aid to the solution of halting the spread of this deadly virus. Our goal is always to protect the safety, health, and wellness of our fellowship family as well as those in our neighborhood. I believe this is honoring to Jesus!
Matthew 22:37–40 (NLT) “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
If you need prayer please call or email us. We are ready to encourage and serve you!
Psalm 118:5–6 (NLT) “In my distress I prayed to the LORD, and the LORD answered me and set me free. The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
We need to hear and receive God’s Word more than ever before. It’s through His Word we receive strength, comfort, and steady encouragement. God is bigger than the coronavirus. We praise God for technology.
You are loved.
You are family.
