VISTA COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Our Outreach Motivation

We believe what Francis of Assisi said, "Preach the gospel, and if necessary use words."  Our desire is to change the world with what we do and how we live (Hands & Hearts) with all that God has given us.  Our time, our talent, and our treasure are His and we seek to meet people where they're at with practical needs and help.

1 Peter 3:15 says, "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect..."

Jesus is the reason for the hope that we have within and so we want to live in such a way that the world sees His love and hope lived out in our actions.

Current Vista Community Outreach

December 15, 2019 - Salvation Army Angel Tree

Every Christmas VISTA chooses to bless families in need and this year we are focusing on our local Salvation Army Angel Tree. These are families who can't afford any Christmas gifts for their children and have reached out to the Salvation Army for help. Many different non-profits step up and meet the need and this year we get to be a part of this amazing effort. We are looking to bless 50 families this year and you can help by grabbing an ornament off the Angel Tree in our lobby and buying one of the requested items.

We will collect all the gifts on Sunday, December 15 and deliver them to our local Salvation Army.
