VISTA CHURCH
GET CONNECTED AT VISTA
VISTA CHURCH has so many different opportunites and ways to get connected with other people that call this church home.
The following is a list of just some of the ways you can plug into VISTA and join the rest of us in calling this church your home too.
VISTA HOME GROUPS
We believe spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments
1
A commitment to significant Christian relationships.
2
A commitment to
God and the Bible.
This is how our groups operate
It is our goal to have every member of our church involved in either a vistaHOMEGROUP or another similar small group experience. These home Bible-study groups involve a ten-week commitment, and are comprised of 10-16 people. They meet weekly to share, to study God’s Word and to support one another spiritually. Most of the groups are sermon-based and follow along with Pastor Brandon’s teaching from Sunday mornings.
The groups meet for three 8-week sessions from late September through May, taking a break during the summer months.

BAPTISM
Ready to take the next step in your faith? We’re here to help you make a public profession of your faith.
Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son of the Holy Spirit…”
After making the decision to make Jesus the Lord of your life, baptism is the next step in your faith. It is an outward statement of what has happened to you on the inside. You are now a new creation in Jesus, all the old is behind you and everything new that God has for you is ahead.
Here at VISTA, we look forward to helping you take the plunge and be obedient to the Lord’s command to “be baptized”. We schedule baptisms on a quarterly basis and offer a short baptism class before the event to help you understand what the Bible says about this momentous step you are taking.
For more information about BAPTISM please contact Brandon Hoover.

BABY DEDICATIONS
A baby dedication is a public proclamation declaring your intent with God’s help and in cooperation with the Holy Spirit to raise your child in a Christ-centered home and to consecrate your child to the Lord for His purposes. Our Biblical example of this is taken from the life of Hannah and her son Samuel. “For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to Him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord, as long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.” 1 Samuel 1: 27-28
Parents are also making the commitment to take responsibility for their child’s spiritual upbringing as commanded in the Old Testament. “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart, You shall teach them diligently to your children, and you shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” Deuteronomy 6:7
Scheduling
Baby dedications are scheduled on an individual basis. We do our best to accommodate your wishes but cannot always schedule for a specific Sunday.
